Bishop Colli is greeted by Pope Francis while on his 'ad limina' visit to Rome with the bishops of Ontario. This meeting was on April 25, 2017 where Pope Francis spoke with the Ontario bishops for two hours in his study in Rome. Discussions included, ministry to youth, religious communities, prayer and good liturgy for Sundays, encouraging vocations and the role of the bishop in his diocese.

Also on April 25th.  Bishop Colli is with Pope Francis as the Holy Father wears the special stole made for him by our First Nations community and the Kateri faith community here in Thunder Bay. Pope Francis was delighted to received this special gift made of white leather and unique beading noting the tree of life, Eucharistic symbols, the Holy Spirit and special Ojibway flowers.Pope Francis wearing by Thunder Bays First Nation Community
